Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens during the service?

We begin with live worship led by the band—lyrics are on screen so you can join in or simply listen. Our hosts then share community updates, and we may celebrate child dedications, baptisms or testimonies. One of our pastors will share an encouraging message from the Bible.

Our services usually also include communion — a simple moment where we pause to take bread and juice and remember all Jesus has done for us. You’re welcome to take part if you’d like, or simply observe.

  • What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! We’re a multicultural and multigenerational church, so at any given service you’ll see everything from casual shorts and jandals to smart casual clothing. Come as you are.

  • Do I need to be a Christian to attend?

Not at all - you are so welcome here. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after a long time, or just curious, Gracecity is a place where you can come as you are and take things at your own pace. You won’t be singled out or expected to know anything in advance. We’re simply glad you’re here.

  • What about my kids?

Gracecity Kids is a safe, fun environment where children can learn about Jesus and build friendships.

Our Sunday services offer a full kids programme, starting with worship in the main auditorium before children head to their own age-appropriate activities.

Look for our team in light blue shirts — they’re here to answer any questions and help your child settle in and feel at home.

  • Where can I park?

Free parking is available on site and nearby at each of our locations. Our welcome team will help you find a spot when you arrive.

  • How can I find out about upcoming events?

There’s always something happening across our Gracecity locations! Visit our Events page, follow us on social media, or download the Gracecity App to stay up to date with what’s coming up.

  • How can I ask for prayer or support?

If you’d like someone to pray with you or you’re in need of care, our team is here for you. You can fill out a Prayer & Care form online, or speak with a pastor or team member after a service - we’d love to support you.

  • What is Gracecity’s mission?

At Gracecity, our mission is simple: we want to join God’s renewal of people and places, living with Kia Aroha Noa — a love without limits.

Our vision is to see disciples, groups, leaders, mission, and locations multiply as more people discover the hope of Jesus.

We live this out through six values that shape who we are: we sit at the feet of Jesus, we clothe ourselves with grace, we invest in the next, we welcome everyone to the table, we see no line between faith and life, and we are part of something bigger.

  • Who leads Gracecity?

Gracecity is led by a team of pastors and leaders who serve across our locations. Together, they’re committed to joining God’s renewal of people and places.

  • What happens at Christmas and Easter?

These are some of our favourite times of year! We hold special services and events that celebrate the story of Jesus in meaningful and creative ways.
