  • Lindsay is married to Alison and they moved to Auckland from Havelock North in January 2022 after living in Hawke’s Bay for 21 years. They have 4 adult children and were active participants at Havelock North Baptist Church where they both served in a variety of volunteer roles - Lindsay served as a Home Group Leader, a Worship Leader and on the Elders’ Board for 10 years, most of them as Chair.

    He holds professional qualifications in finance and business and is currently Managing Director of their family import distribution company where he leads a staff of 85 people. Lindsay is also an experienced board director of commercial and charitable organisations, including current or past roles serving on the boards of MAS insurance group, Howick Baptist Healthcare, Cranford Hospice, Presbyterian Support and HBS Bank.

    They are keen worshippers of Jesus and long-term supporters of several Christian ministry organisations, including Barnabas School of Leadership, Christians Against Poverty, Interserve, and Tandem Ministries/Student Life/Family Life.

    Living in Greenlane, they enjoy being able to walk to Gracecity Church and are passionate about its mission of being called to join God’s renewal of people and places.


  • Brian first made the decision to follow Jesus in 2003 while studying at university, and attended the former Greenlane Christian Centre before moving to London in 2010. He now attends Gracecity East with his wife Tamsyn and three children.

    He is an experienced Chartered Accountant and senior finance professional with a passion for tech and risk management. Brian has worked in a range of senior roles and sectors, including public practice at Deloitte and PwC, the private sector, and is now proudly making a difference for Tamaki Makaurau at Auckland Council focusing on driving value for money. He is also serving his local community as a School Board member and finance sub-committee chair.

    He also loves to serve at church, and has previously led youth Alpha, connect groups, and served in pre-school and primary aged ministries. Brian and Tamsyn currently lead a young families connect group, and he enjoys serving morning tea some Sunday mornings at Gracecity East.


  • Maryann and her family have been attending Gracecity (formerly Greenlane Christian Centre) since March 2007 since moving back from overseas.

    Maryann is a General Practitioner working at Southseas Healthcare in Otara South Auckland for the last 10 years. She has a special interest in Primary Care & Pacific Health and is involved in teaching & research with a focus on health equity. Maryann holds medical qualifications from the University of Otago and the University of Auckland, and is a member of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners (Pacific Chapter) and an Executive Committee Member for the Auckland Faculty and is a member for the Pacific GP Network, Pasifika Medical Association and the Samoan Scholars Network.

    She is a lifelong volunteer and supporter of Christians Against Poverty (CAP), has served in cafe ministry, taught ESOL classes, has been a volunteer with Knee High Army, parking attendant, Christmas Drive-Thru and Whanau Pasifika Cell group. She is currently on the International Advisory Committee for Gracecity and has been on the leadership team for our Whanau Pasifika Group for the last few years.


  • Madison grew up in central Auckland and became a part of the Gracecity Community (formerly Greenlane Christian Centre) during her teenage years, where she found her faith in Jesus Christ. At Gracecity, she encountered her now-husband, David, a devoted member of the community for over 20 years. Having spent numerous joyful years contributing to the youth and young adults ministries, her focus shifted more recently to supporting parents of preschoolers, embracing her role as a blessed mother of three.

    With a Bachelor of Business degree, she specialized in Human Resource Management & Employment Relations during university. In her professional capacity, she collaborates strategically with companies, emphasizing the significance of the organization's most vital resource—its people. Her expertise lies in fostering engaging and thriving cultures while ensuring that all people practices adhere to legal standards.

    She is honored to serve on the Board at Gracecity, expressing eagerness to contribute to the transformation of people, places, and partnerships within the church and community.


  • John Cleary and his family began worshipping at Gracecity (formerly Greenlane Christian Centre) in January 2000, when they moved from Australia to NZ for him to take up the role of CEO of Chubb New Zealand. Since then they have been involved in cell group leadership and membership, men’s ministry, senior ushering and pre-marriage counselling with his wife, Vicki. He spent 18 months running the operation and administration side of Gracecity full time.

    His governance experience includes chairing Christian school P & Fs, directorships of a number of businesses, chair of an industry training advisory board, and previous church board involvement. He holds a degree in electrical engineering a postgraduate qualification in business and administration and a masters in organisational leadership. His desire is to see Gracecity more active in growing and supporting the body of Christ and bringing light into the community through it.


  • Delwyn, together with her three children have been attending Gracecity since 2017. Delwyn loves Jesus and is extremely grateful for the grace that He shows each day.

    Delwyn has worked for Auckland Council for the past 4.5 years, more recently looking after a community centre and is about to start a new role with the Cyclone Recovery Unit, DPMC. Delwyn focus and enjoyment in any role has always been people, she enjoys meeting and building connections with others. Delwyn has a strong background in health and safety.

    Delwyn loves the church and its vision for renewing people and places. Delwyn has served in this church and knows that it takes a large team of people to keep an incredible work going!


  • Geoff and Michelle started attending Gracecity in 2021. They were attracted to the church by the diversity of the congregation and staff/volunteers, together with the quality of the worship and teaching. Both have undertaken a range of voluntary roles with previous churches attended in NZ and overseas.

    Geoff took early retirement from management in a global corporate in 2012, with a plan to work in the NFP sector. In the period since he has undertaken various roles with different Christian organisations, including the Anglican Church, CAP and currently Maxim Institute. Geoff is on the Board of Te Whakaora Tangata.

    Michelle is enjoying being a part of the worship team at Gracecity and mixing that with serving on the café team.

    Both look forward to continuing to grow in their spiritual walk as they serve at Gracecity.


  • Robert (a.k.a. Bob) has attended Gracecity (formerly Greenlane Christian Centre) since 1997; he and Susan are fully committed participants of Greenlane Christian Centre and have been blessed by the teaching, the diverse make-up of the church community and the opportunities to actively serve. Bob and Susan have three adult children involved in various churches around Auckland. Bob joined the Greenlane Christian Fellowship Trust Board (GCFTB) in 2010, and since 2012 has been the Chair of the Greenlane Care Education Trust (GCET) which focuses on the Gracecity CAP ministry (Debt Care; Job Club; Lifeskills and CAP Money) and a counselling collective. Also, Bob has since 2014 fulfilled the Board Treasurer role. As a couple, Bob and Susan co-ordinate the ushering, greeting and communion volunteer teams. 

    Bob has extensive international company directorship and management experience together with senior global sales roles.


  • He’s a husband to Robyn and a father to four children. Jonathan (or ‘JD’ as most of us call him) is responsible for our overall church vision, direction of our sites and staff, and preaching.

    JD is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, where Jonathan earned a Master of Theology degree and Robyn a Master of Biblical Studies degree.

    Jonathan also convenes Auckland Church Network which is made up of bishops and senior leaders from mainstream denominations and large city churches, all working together for the spiritual and social flourishing of our city.

    Jonathan is a visionary, a gifted teacher, as well as a life-long learner. He is passionate about people coming to know Jesus and building a strong community of believers that renew people and places in the way they work, play and live.

    Each summer, he loves returning to his home town in Havelock North (Hawkes Bay) and enjoys walks around his maunga at Te Mata Peak. His spare time is made up of family adventures, quality coffee, a good book, and ideally, an All Blacks game.

If you wish to communicate on an official level, the following process is recommended to be followed. This is to make sure that all correspondence is taken seriously and responded to in a timely manner:

  • Issues directly related to ministry staff or management must be first directed to an appropriate staff member or the Senior Pastor.

  • Any correspondence of areas of concern or that relate directly to the Senior Pastor must be directed to the Board Chair.

  • All correspondence with the Greenlane Christian Fellowship Trust (GCFT) Board must be in writing and include a brief description/explanation of the topic and what/if any outcome is hoped to be seen.

  • All correspondence received will be acknowledged upon receipt.

  • The correspondence will be tabled at the next board meeting to be held. GCFT Board meetings are held every third Thursday of the Month.

  • The outcome of the discussion at the board meeting regarding the correspondence will be communicated back by the Board Chair within three (3) workings days of the Board meeting.
